NYU Accelerated BSN Spring 2012

Published

hey! I figured I will start this thread! Who applied and now waiting anxiously?? :)

That was information I was not aware of...I studied the website very thoroughly, they must have changed their policies...

I could be wrong and they may have very well changed their policies. Anyhow I think that having already gotten your BS you should be a very competitive candidate for the traditional BSN program :)

I hope so!!! I will let everyone know when I hear something back!

Thank you faces04!! I will let you know if I get in, so that you can help me find a place to live. I cant wait to hear from them!!

To: Lizasanurse: I went to the open house last month, and what faces04 said about not being able to apply to the traditional program is correct. If you have a bachelors degree you can only apply to the second degree program.

Albert Login: i have a column for 2012 financial aid. Does everyone have that?? Im getting my hopes high...

Where do you see that? I have a financial Aid column but It doesnt say 2012 financial aid, maybe this means you are accepted!!!

Has anyone else noticed a change in their financial aid status on Albert??

negative for me.

we should be hearing from them really soon though!

Seriously I'm normally a very patient person, but this suspense is killing me!!! :dzed:

I am patiently waiting as well. I live in Crown Heights Brooklyn. Let me know when someone gets accepted.

im seriously getting impatient! Every time I get a new email I get psyched!

You might be in luck! ::crossing fingers for you::

If you already have a bachelor's degree, you can attend NYU as a non-accelerated or accelerated second degree student. The only difference is that with the accelerated status, you start your clinical course sequence right away whereas non-accelerated, you take the time to do the prerequisites courses while at NYU and once you are completed with that, you start your 15-month clinical sequence.
