Hi all. I'm starting a forum for NYU Spring 2021. I know the application goes live soon so might as well make one now.
I applied for Fall 2020 but didn't get in so I'm applying for the second time. Good luck to us all!
Hi all!
I have also applied to this program... Fingers crossed for all of us!
I have a bachelors in psychology also, and certificate in Public Health. I took my CNA course, and worked as a CNA for 3 months, and have been a caregiver for 7 months now. I am currently retaking Anatomy and Physiology to increase my GPA but here are my stats:
psych GPA: 3.67
overall college GPA: 3.388
Anatomy: B- (first grade) IP -on track to receive an A
Physiology: C+ (first grade) - IP on track to receive A
Chemistry: B-
Chem Lab: B+
Microbiology: A
Micro Lab: A-
Nutrition: A-
Stats: B
Developmental psych: A-
I am really hoping for the best, I know these programs are so competitive! I have also taken pharmacology (B+) and pathophysiology(A) which I am hoping might have some sort of influence in terms of my application. Does anyone know when the notification of admissions will be? I am from California, but my sister lives in Brooklyn, so this would be a great option for me.

I was in Boston about 2 years ago and it was fun. "Downtown" areas usually seem all the same to me, but the neighboring areas near the university campuses were neat. They have mass transit as well.
Hey, sorry I never responded to your post (I missed it somehow)! Yeah, going from NYC to Downtown Boston is going to be a bit of a change. I've never been to campus, but I've visited Downtown. I liked it a lot. It reminded me of some kind of permanent Christmas movie, or a tinseltown. Some of the students already started putting up posts for apartment vacancies, and a surprising number of them come with parking spots, and/or are close to train lines. I think the more I find out by the area, the more I am pleased.

I submitted before priority deadline but as per my checklist my final transcript made it there 9/30 because I had an issue with commonapp so I had to send NYU paper copies and that took some time.

I think schools send out acceptance batches based on performance- not based on when applications were submitted. They may send out acceptances to high performers first... then mid, low, etc. The reason is that they need to gauge if those admitted in previous batches will accept/decline their seat before admitting more people in consequent batches.
