Anyone planning to apply to NYU ABSN program for fall 2015. Since I'm in CA, there's no way I could attend the information session. What important things were mentioned at the information session?
Hey guys, I got my acceptance email yesterday hurray finally!!! Thank God the wait is over it seemed like eternity. Guys I am so sorry to hear about those who got denied but I would not give up instead, keep trying. Good luck to the rest of you guys who are still waiting I am sure there are more positive answers for you all as well.
I just graduated from NYUCN 15 month ABSN program.
I met some amazing people and have had amazing experiences. From working in Bellevue during the Ebola scare to studying all night will amazing colleagues.
I have a textbooks needed for the 1st semester that I no longer need. If you are interested send me a message. If anyone has questions, feel free to ask.
I remember when I was waiting to be accepted and had a million questions to ask.
Congrats to those accepted, and to those who were declined remember that everything happens for a reason.

My favs by semester
1st semester = Pathophysiology
2nd semester = Adult & Elder II aka Medical Surgical II
3rd Semester = Hated Labor & Delivery
4th Semester = Perioperative
I am waiting on the state of CA to process my application, I should take the NCLEX in late June or early July.
I feel prepared. I do have another degree in Public Health which makes me more ready then most. You do have people in the program who had a degree in music or ag science, so I feel very confident with my skills.
You don't go to NYU solely for the education, you go to NYU for the connections as well. Everyone I associate with has jobs lined up b/c NYU is great at connecting new grads with alumni.
I personally have had declined jobs b/c I want to return to CA.
send me an email to [email protected] if interested in the books and have further questions. I do have purple NYU scrubs for free.
Yes, NYU College of Nursing requires everyone to wear the same exact purple scrubs with solid white shoes this means no mesh/holes/openings.
I have size M top and M bottom & a L top and L bottom. All of the NYU scrubs are unisex.
Sorry the books are gone. To be honest, theres only 1 must have book. Ignatavicius & Workman 2012 Medial Surgical (Pathophysiology and all the Adult & Elder courses). All of the other books are available at library and I saved 1200$ a semester by doing my work at the library and not spending a fortune on the must have books that we never used.
