NYU ABSN Fall 2013 Entry

Hello everyone! I have submitted my application and my transcripts to NYU for the ABSN program beginning in fall 2013! I am very excited but surprised that we will be hearing so late about an admission decision. Is anyone else applying?

ok. So I called the office of NYU undergrad admissions to check the status of my application and see if they had everything and If I was ready to go and possibly included in one of this acceptance or rejection emails. The guy told me that desiciones for the acceletared BSN program in nursing will be emailed around May 15th! and that the desicions that are supposed to be emailed from today and on were for the freshman applicants not for second degree. Please someone double check with them since most admission offices have a reputation of not being consistant with their responses. Apparently, we are going to have to wait for another month and a half. ... :banghead:

Did the rep differentiate between regular and priority applicants ?

I especifically told him that a applied before March 1st for the priority deadline.... and still... his response was May 15th. Could somebody please call to double check? Thanks

I called, and the guy I spoke to said he's been getting a lot of these calls. He said that they were "definitely sending emails out for the accelerated programs today," but they might not all get out today because there were so many applications. He said they might continue to send them out for the next three days.

Hi Everyone,

I just submitted my application this past Thursday. I spoke to admissions this afternoon to confirm that my transcripts had been received (I hand delivered to the NYU Welcome center) and they said it will be a few days before I receive my confirmation email. Also, that I won't be hearing anything until late April or early May based on just applying. So I will be stalking this board for the next month at least:)

I am currently taking Chemistry 120 at NYU and applied "non-accelerated" to finish my remaining four prerequs this Fall. So I actually wouldn't start until Spring 2014. At the open house they said this was the harder way to get accepted but I guess if I don't make it this time I will apply again.

I wasn't fully expecting anything at 5pm, but I must admit that I annoyed my husband with a countdown... only to find no news yet. =-(

Based on last year's thread, the decision emails seemed to be sending out every week specifically on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so maybe we will be hearing back in a pattern like this too for this year. Hang in there! :)
