NYS Licensing Process Delay

Is someone having an issue with delayed licensing process from NYS Office of Professions? How long does it usually take for them to send you your license in the mail or enlist your name on the website? Can you work while you wait for your license given that you already passed the NCLEX?

I am a green card holder as a spouse of a American. When I called the general customer representative of NYSED, he said my file contains my alien number so I do not have to submit green card copy. But reading your post here, I get concerned if I should submit green card copy to the NYSED?
