October 5 - Interview with recruiter and hiring manager, PCD and nurse clinician
October 7 - Email about references were sent to me and I submitted all my references 1 hour after receiving
October 9 - All my references completed their surveys
October 18 - Reached out to recruiter about an update but told me that she told her colleague to update me about the outcome. Haven't heard from this colleague at all
I've been extremely anxious/on edge for the past few weeks since the references and I'm dying to know whether or not I got the job. Online, my application still says assessment/references. I don't know what else I can do besides continue to wait for a response. My friend got an offer at a different NYP campus a day after his references submitted surveys. I know someone else at the same campus who interviewed the same day as I did and they already got hired.
I applied like 2 weeks ago for 3 different units as a nursing attendant. One of them says "assessment/ reference". I didn't notice that the status changed so I just saw the email they sent to do the get to know you form. It's already been 3 days since they sent me the email and 2 days since I filled out the form. Do they usually get back to you for references in like 2-3 days?

yeah I got that too recently. I think it means that they are in the process of considering us. also, I think based on the results of the getting to you know thing, they will either contact us for references or no longer consider us for the job? also, what position/area did you apply for? I'm a BSN junior student and applied for the nursing attendant jobs
I had my NYP interview in December and was wondering what it "In Process" means on my application status? Also, what does it mean when you're told that the talent acquisition dept will be reaching out? Does that mean I am on the way to get hired for the position?
Ehh I wouldn’t say that means you’re gonna be hired. Sometimes that statement, “we’ll get back to you soon” or anything along those lines is just loosely thrown out there when no one actually reaches out.

You need to do your interview first and then they will ask you for references if they want to move forward with you. I was reached out to by the recruiter less than 24 hours after completing the assessment but that’s because that unit was in desperate need of nurses

Not sure how it is for nursing attendant positions. Results of the assessment determine if they will give you an interview. Sometimes they make you do the assessment after the interview. Different case for everyone
what's wrong ? why my status change from assessment/reference to in process again?
and, It's little bit a strange that originally, HR interview is first and then manager interview..my case was switched. Also, recruiter is changed during the hiring process....
Hi, just wanted to ask how NYP handles rejections? Do we get a call/email? Online status change? Anything? I was asked to complete references, and haven’t heard back since.
