NYC Job Applications

Hi nurses! I recently applied to a job on the NYP website. Literally, no more than 2 hours later, the status of my submitted application changed to "no longer in consideration". I am getting discouraged. Has this happened to anyone else before? Can anyone, who is working or applying to NYP, explain how the process works and what further steps I should take? Thank you for your support.

Does anyone know when NYC hospitals post their new grad residency applications?

you will be auto enrolled in a residency if hired in the city hospitals ,NYP, NYU,MSK and Mount Sinai. North Well, HSS does actually post residencies. With that said I do believe most hospitals in NYC will have a "residency" if less than a year experience.

Hi all!! I recently got asked to do a phone call with a recruiter at NYU. I am assuming it is a screening rather than a formal interview. Just wondering if anyone else has done this and how it went + how many people they typically ask to do this type of call and how many they ask back for further interviews. Thanks!

Either way that sounds like a step in the right direction, congrats!! When did you apply if you don't mind me asking? I just submitted mine yesterday so I was wondering how long it would take to hear back at least for the first step.

Hey! I hope your phone call with the recruiter went well. I have a call set up for Tuesday and was wondering what it was like/what did they ask, etc. Thanks!

I actually didn't have it yet. But I heard its simple, just getting to know you stuff. Good luck!!

She emailed me but I was told to follow up next week to plan the date to speak!
