I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

There's nothing wrong in doing transfer if credits it's up to the school whether to do this or not. In California it gets done as well as states in the middle

But in my post the students transferred credits and took a test at the new school - whether they passed that test or failed dismally, they still 'graduated' and their graduate standing was passed on to a BON for a ATT.

Wow, that's so crazy. So the hospital will not take u.
She is not the first person that has had a problem getting into the hospital from schools that were on any Florida list. Many hospitals got rid of people who were working for them if they came from any school on any Florida list as there are a few lists. Home care and some nursing homes will still take you but options are slim.

There are hospitals that still have nurses from these Florida schools. Most of them were in other positions and got transitioned. But moving forward they are doing education verifications; Alot of them , there education cant be verified. Also these Florida nurses are working with agencies.

Getting a bachelor's degree will not help, they look at the school u went to when u took your boards. Also if the board ever decide to take away license if they find school in any fraud, they will not care if u have a bachelor's or a NP license. Cause again they look at what school u went when u took your boards. There have been nurses that lost there license and had the NP because if the school they went when they took there boards.
Donna Thomas said:Some people are getting contacted by the Fl BON to hand in their license and others aren't. It doesn't matter if you got a BSN your original school that allowed you to sit for your NCLEX is the issue. Currently NY is allowing people to go back to school that they approve of and start over if you want to be licensed in NY BON. Essentially there's no update I don't even know if FL BON is allowing people to go back to school and start over too. I don't know the outcome of people who got their licenses annulled/revoked with "fraud" discipline what's the course of action do they get to start over or they can't ever be licensed again as a nurse?
There are people that got this on there license and going back to school but don't know what will happen but they are ny residents

If they can not verify that they actually went to school, of course it should get remove. There's no such a thing as no proof whatsoever of education even if they paid cash. There's a way to prove school attendance as well as clinical

That is true. But that is the problem that hospitals are having when these RN's are applying from these schools
