Nybon Nursing School Under Investigation

I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

Yeah, I figured that about the reps. I feel sorry for them because I know they're stressed out. I know one thing, NY is gonna give me my money back. It's crazy how they only offer half of it after I request a withdraw of application.

Lincoln College of Technology. They're no longer in florida. They were accredited, but NY still has it under review because it's no longer on the current list ....(duh, they closed in 2017). I can't stand this for all of us.

Exactly its really sad how they are penalizing people for what others do. Also the nybon reps don't have info u have to talk to the processing unit but they still won't tell u anything. I believe they want students to stop calling and move on and leave the others alone

Same!! So just fill out the examination application, print, and mail it. I live 20 mins from FLBON and I had to camp out in their office to get my approval. My friend lives in south florida and she mailed it in and got approved before me LOL

I'm sorry to say NY has NO idea what they're doing. They just do things to act like as if they're doing something all this is a waste of our time. Nothing new with them.

Application is good for 5yrs from time of submission.  But who is waiting that long by then u could of graduated from a another school and be on your way. NYBON have no respect for students

Fl counts any previous state u test due there 3 limit testing and then remedial with accredited fl school on there list

If u tested ing fl that counts as 1 = 2 more trys

You had to camp out in their office?? only if they were open on The Weeknd I would have no problem flying there to drop it off. The only think I'll call the school tomorrow and ask to mail

me my transcript so I can put everything in one envelope and I'm going to mail it express with signature required?

LOL I'm sure a lot of us on here our schools are not listed and NY knows it they don't know what they should do instead of giving the license they want to penalize the innocent meanwhile the real fraud individuals are still working. That makes absolutely no sense. They always do things backwards.

I passed my exam on the 9th attempt. You don't have to remediate if you passed. Now if I never passed and tried to go back, then yeah.

Nope, its not. I actually spoke to someone in OIG (the department responsible for fraud cases) and they said NY is trippin
