I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

I actually live 20 mins at the most from the FL BON. LOL (plot twist). I brought them my application...twice, and they're still playing in my face. I'm at work now, but Im going when I get off.

They don't allow you to apply for "re-examination" online. You have to print out the application, write a letter requesting that they withdraw your endorsement application/requesting re-entry to test with FL. With the application you pay $110 all over again (if you had applied for endorsement already). After doing that, you mail it. Rather than mailing it, I brought it in.... which one would think would be faster, right? They've done absolutely nothing, but refresh my endorsement status. If I have to retest, I just want to get it over with.
I just reread the information about the supposed meeting NY is planning to have this month, and it just upset me all over again. This line specifically:
"It is anticipated that the proposed rule will be presented to the Board of Regents for adoption as a permanent rule at the September 2023 Regents meeting,"

I know. And this is what I have been trying to tell people. There are alot of active licensed rns in ny going back to school due to the fear, but doubt ny will take any license away since its been so long
Let's hope they give people the opportunity to get there license since they allowed those others to keep there license even though they did wrong.
Someone needs to speak up and say we can hold students back for what others did

Yup! It would be insane to take our money, approve us, and allow us to test but not issue a license when we pass. I'm praying hard. I can't wait for us to jump back on here and report that we've been licensed.
