I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

Hi, Rok what school did you attend? You stated that there possible that you could retake the boards in Florida.
Hey Tara, I did not say that someone can retake NCLEX with FLBON ! I went to Florida college of health science @ Tampa , passed my NCLEX but my school is on hold @NYBON, hence my license in limbo !

Yes you can
what are you talking about burned by a lawyer. I would have to be in you situation to have experienced something of that magnitude. You shouldn't assume.
I am going off of information I have gathered from others in your situation ( real life). Also please read correctly before you assume.
Don't attack me because I said something truthful, attack the board im not the bad guy.
Out of curiosity did anyone from this thread attended the traditional 2 year nursing program with any of the schools under investigation? Or was everyone in the bridge program for Lpn to RN?
I really wanna know if anybody has heard from ny BON concerning their status. I'm talking about those that passed their boards but wasn't issued a license yet. Have they reached out to you?

@Apple19 I think you've answered your own question here.
Yes this is directly from the board. They told me the same thing. My school isn't on the list but under review. They said I can wait until review is over or get another education and submit. I think they are pretty much trying to give you a head start and saying that educations from certain schools will no longer be accepted because they do not meet NYBON requirements. You can call 5 days a week now. It's no longer Tuesdays and Thursdays. Every state is handling it differently. Florida for instance with allow you to take the boards again since NY has NCLEX results on hold. That's if your school wasn't on any list.
Bc NYS BON isn't going to do that.. the way it's looking ultimately those who passed NCLEX who went to one of the schools on Federal list will have score wiped out and will have to go to a new nursing school and take NCLEX over. Especially those who surrendered their license

Everyone's case is different so maybe hiring a lawyer may be beneficial to some. Also keep in mind each state is handling this situation differently.
