I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

Well she can provide her transcripts from that school to prove she completed a program if they ever send her a letter
The only 3 schools on that list that have officially been investigated are the 3 that's all over the news . The others are on there most likely because of low pass rates...that list was made by someone here on the blog it's no where online so it's a he say she say situation. And it clearly says only ny BON no other and that's probably becaus people flock to ny for the unlimited test. As far as hci aboit time they lied to my class the whole 2 years about getting the accn accreditation. Til this day they still don't have it

Prospective students shouldn't assume that just because an institution "presents a good face online" it means they're accredited, Nursing program Accreditation information has to be listed on an online program's website –. along with graduation and NCLEX pass rates. Did you see them?
Did you have to pay upfront, make monthly payments, pay your bill in full to get your information/graduation/courses completed to the Florida state board? ( The difference between these words creates a lot of problems..1) did you go there thinking your were going to an accredited nursing program? (a program that really looks at the NURSING part of the program)? 2) Were you provided guided instruction with actual patients....not just pawned off to an R.N. Did you have a dedicated nursing instructor that was there to teach YOU?
Was it the student's fault? Would you buy a car with less information than it runs well now. I am very glad you posted here because these programs that prey on students' dreams need to have strong regulations to stop the scamming. Florida I am looking at YOU
I would have to say that yes people preyed on folks.but these people who decided to take the easy route are also to take accountability. They knew purchasing transcripts were wrong on all levels. They knew that without the proper training lives would be at stake and is going to cause more problems than good. They were not considerate of those who actually put in the time for training and learning. And ultimately didn't do the proper research on these schools. Prime example on the list of schools that is posted on here of schools under review by new York.. revelation university in Florida ( when googled searched comes up as a theology school not even offering a nursing program) but yet people are sending in transcripts saying they went to and graduated from a nursing program from that school.
What's your obsession with that school they're not even listed on Fl BON how can one sit to take the test if they're not even approved

Actually if you call the NY BON and other states they let you know who they are investigating. The FBI is one thing and the state is one. The lady was linked to other schools on the list and they are looking for proof so it's technically not a he say she say. Other students came out after they saw her name on the news. Your license can still be taken away from those other schools
So you called every state ? And she's linked to every single school on the list ?
@ Gators I think some of these people on here are just trolls making stuff up along the way the school that she had mentioned not even on fl BON LOL

I said other states never mentioned anything about all I called Iowa, NJ and two others the only people so far that don't have a problem is CT and FL and that was December so you can find out the information instead of assuming other people are just assuming stuff and I also didn't say the lady was linked to all. If you look at other articles online it states the names of three other schools that she's already linked too from the Florida news articles
I'm still confused on what lady. I thought it was a guy running the schools....I really don't care to be calling different boards

Okay well clearly you haven't been paying attention cause her name is all over the degrees and she was one of the first 3 people arrested. Jonanah and if you don't care that's your business other people have to be who genuinely went to school and now caught up in the mess and probably have to spend money for a lawyer that they don't have.

People don't have time to be trolls when serious stuff is going on and you do know once a school is closed it will no longer be on the BON even if it was before. Not everything is a joke. The lady is genuinely worried and others are finding jokes out of it
