I finished my LPN-RN program from Carleen Health Institute. I took the NCLEX under New York state board and passed the exam. I'd been waiting on the license a couple of weeks and decided to call NYbon, was told the school is under review - hence they would not be issuing any licenses till the review is done. They also wouldn't give a time frame. Does anyone have any idea how long these reviews usually take or what could be done in situations like this?

Unfortunately you just have to wait because of all the stuff going on in the news and a lot of fraudulent nursing license have been issued so now the school is under investigation as well as your license may be under investigation to see if you got the proper training and the amount of hours required for you to sit for your board exam so there's a lot of things coming into play. But you did the right thing by contacting the State board did you try to get license in because they would have the most accurate information good luck

Based off this news article....
Officials said that at this point it is up to the state licensing boards to push forward with action against those individuals under their purview -- some of whom have been practicing nursing "somewhere in the United States, perhaps currently," Lapointe said.
"We know who they are," Lapointe said.

It's just all a sad state of affairs. There are so many lives affected by this. Some knowingly some unknowingly but you're right the best information and the best source will be your State board of nursing.
People are doing there own speculations and adding things that were not mentioned. Yes it is completely wrong what people did to obtain a license and should be held accountable cause they knew and fully aware of what they did. The report did not say they would take any license away. They said it is up to the state board to do so. I am sure they will be coming to a conclusion with that and it may take some time like it did for the investigation. If that happens it will be very embarrassing for those people that tried to blend in with the real nursing students and make them go through all that wait because they choose to cheat the system and now who every really went through the program and did clincals and hard work have to suffer due to this.

It truly is but a thorough investigation will have to take place and records are going to have to match to truly confirm who went to these schools
To answer your questions. Carleen school doesn't meet Washington minimum requirements for state license.
OK. It all makes sense. But don't understand why they revoked license, was it due to something medically filed against you. Cause in 2021 this school was not on hold. And also its been know that there have been a red flag raised on a group of people in Washington for not actually attending the school
