Hi there! Anyone else applying for the Fall semester at NWFSC? I am about to take the first attempt for the hesi and I am little nervous! How are your scores looking so far?
Hey, I also applied to the 2016 nursing program. I haven't heard anything either. In the email I got it said that they expected to notify all applicants on today. I think about 300 applied because my application got messed up, so I had to go to admissions and she said they got my application confused with somebody else's because like 300 applied. I don't know if she was just kidding or what?
I am one of 2 people applying with the same name so there was a bit of confusion with my app as well but I believe they got it worked out. When I heard there were 300 applicants I was worried too but they reminded me that many of those people applied before even taking the hesi or completing the steps needed so that 300 isn't the count of qualified applicants necessarily. Hope that help you all feel a little better
Good luck everyone!!!
When I reapplied for admission to the school, the advisor told me they do get a large applicant pool. I also tried to ask a girl that I know that's in her 2nd semester now what her score was when she got in, but when she did it the score process was different. The maximum points then was 100 and the points were acquired for different things. I really wanted to know what was a "good" score for being accepted, but there's no way to tell now. I got 115 points, but that's only 76.6% of the possible points, which seems inadequate when it comes to being selected from such a large pool of applicants. But we knew this was a competitive program when we applied.
You are exactly right, I had heard how competitive this program is but I'm glad they are selective because it is reflected in the excellent quality of nurses that come from NWFSC. I'll definitely update with my results in the morning...it has been a huge relief to communicate with y'all though! Sharing my struggle!
I'm getting too old to feel like there's always next year. Lol. I'm 33, will be 34 in a few months. I have 3 kids and my husband is the only one that works. The sooner I get through school and get back to work, the better it will be for us. That's why I'm so worried. I'm sure you guys have similar concerns. It helps that I have you guys with which to commiserate. My family doesn't seem to get why I'm a little worked up about it and why I checked my phone every 30 seconds today. And when we got the email earlier that said it'll be tomorrow, they were like "you'll know tomorrow" like that was suppose to make me happy. Rather, it feels like I have to wait another night to find out the potentially bad news. :-/ LOL
