Well thats still good. You have a potential really high score overall. Im sure your medical assistant training will help you a lot. LPNs (LVN i said earlier because I'm from California) dont have training for phlebotomy so im sure that will make you more comfortable. There is an extra iV certification but I havent done mine yet so definitely need to do that too soon. I was busy being pregnant forever and now have a 2.5 and 1 year old lol since I got my license.

I applied for Lpn to Rn because my husband is a teacher in the military down here and we only have 2 years left here. So just enough time to get through the 3 semesters for that route.

What does co-requisite mean?

I gotcha! That's awesome though that you can do the LPN to RN track. That would work out perfectly for you with only 3 semesters. ?

And the co-requisites are just the classes that you take while in the program, like A&P II, nutrition, microbiology, etc. I took 2 of those classes, so I'm guessing those count towards the overall points as well.

Fingers crossed we get an email today... or hopefully in the next couple days!

Hi! So glad I found some other applicants for fall! I keep thinking we should at least have the email with the points verification but every time I get something, its junk mail from the book store lol.. I had previous college classes and I've completed 25 credits at NWF so that helped my points some and I made all 90's on the HESI so I'm feeling hopeful. I just wish they would send something out as an update. Anyways, good luck to everyone!

Hi there! That’s so funny you say that because I told my husband today that all I am getting is stuff from the bookstore haha! All I was told yesterday was we should know mid April and point verification sometime before then. The fact you scored in the 90s on all sections of the HESI is fantastic!!! This wait isn’t fun but hopefully we hear something soon! I know someone took over for Kathy so I’m wondering if it’s taking longer because of that?

Yes, that is awesome, congrats! I unsubscribed from the bookstore emails because I got so many LOL. And that may be why it’s taking so long. I’m hoping we’ll hear about points at least sometime by the end of this week.

I'm so irritated lol like just get on with it! At least send out points verification so we know they're actually close to reaching a decision.

Seriously! Even an email to let us know where they are in the whole process would be nice lol. All I ever got was an email Feb. 20th thanking me for applying lol.

Me too! I know a couple years ago they didn’t find out until the end of April. I hope that’s not the case for us. I’m just ready to know if I will be able to start in the fall or if I’ll have to reapply for spring.. and if I get accepted for fall then I’m thinking of taking microbiology in the summer to get it out of the way beforehand. Fingers crossed for at least any kind of update sometime this week!

Yes I read the same thread, and I hope we don’t have to wait until then! I’m taking 4 classes right now and my plan was, if I get accepted I want to take a break for the summer and enjoy some much needed time off with my kids before the program begins in August. If I don’t get in I will of course apply for the spring cycle, but I sure don’t want to have to take the Hesi again. While I scored really well the first time, studying for anatomy was nerve racking because it is such a broad subject, and it all comes down to 30 questions lol. I was debating on taking micro this summer but might wait until next summer for it. All I need after this spring term ends is that and a humanities.

Ahh yes! Summer off would be great. I don’t want to take the Hesi again either. I got a 76 in A&P the first time but thankfully a 96 the second time! It was definitely the one I was most worried about. You’re right, 30 questions is not a lot for the amount of material lol. I’m hoping my overall score and points will be enough for the fall. I can’t wait to find out either way!
