Hi,
I started this thread for those that want to chat, brainstorm and encourage each other through the application cycle.

Let me know and after I make it I’ll post the link.
Maybe we can ask the MEC Counselor how past cohorts stay connected too? Or how they organized their past FB pages

MEC doesn’t do anything with that, last year just made groups on their own.
Or just network with people when you get in class. Everyone will have different classes depending on class times.

- Grade in BIO 141
- Note: If the minimum grade for entry is a "C" then no extra point is awarded for meeting the minimum.
- Grade in PSY 230
- Note: If the minimum grade for entry is a "C" then no extra point is awarded for meeting the minimum.
- Scores on the ATI TEAS
- Completion of any or all of the Co-requisite courses- CST elective, humanities elective, BIO 142 and BIO 150.
- Note: It is not required that you complete the co-requisite courses prior to applying. However, if you are weak in the other areas it is not a bad idea to knock out some of the co-requisites.
Those are the four categories that students are awarded points on. our blog post, https://blogs.nvcc.edu/mecexchange/2019/02/27/am-i-a-competitive-applicant/ is updated when criteria change, so we encourage you to review it for more details.

We wanted to mention that many students find success with the Focused Review offered for free on the ATI TEAS portal. You can find it next to where you download your results for each attempt.
