I took a look at the Fall schedule for NUR 111 and saw the expected LEC, CLN, and LAB sections but was curious what DIS was. I noticed most of the lectures are scheduled from 1-4:25 on Monday and that DIS was only available from 4:30 to 6pm and also on Mondays. So, what is DIS and does everyone have to take that class?
My guess is that it is for people who choose to have lectures on Mondays because the lectures on Mondays are 3.5 hours while the lectures on Fridays are 5 hours...
Well, it was painful but I got exactly what I wanted!! The painful part was clicking finish enrolling for 8 minutes. The MEC had a fire drill at 9:50. I thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest it was beating so hard. Hopefully enrollment will be downhill from here on out. I almost wished they assigned a lecture and discussion portion to us so that we didn't have to fight for nothing. Just let us duke it out over lab and clinicals!
Bad time for a fire drill, lol typical MEC,lol We got to pick our clinicals during the last yr. the good profs go in seconds, so one has to have multiple back up plans!! As well ensure you have NO HOLDS on your account--a silly thing as an over due book will put a stop to you being able to register for classes!!!
We get to start picking our clinicals next semester! I just hope I can get one that starts at 8am, but I seriously doubt it. If my husband gets deployed I'll have to find somebody who can watch my son in the morning and drop him off at daycare. I know there are other people who have similar problems.
If I wanted to get rich quick I would open a daycare that opened at 6am!
Thank you but most day care centers in this area open at 6:30 (including ours) which is why I would need a morning sitter. If my clinical instructor requires us to be there at 6:30 (and some do) I will have to leave as early as 5:45-6am depending on the site. It's not a big deal, I am sure I will be able to find a morning sitter if my husband does deploy.

Tomorrow is the big day! Registration at 10 am. I am so excited and scared and nervous all at once. My shopping cart is full and I am ready with backups listed on paper. My main concern is getting into NUR 150 online! Nothing else really matters as long as I don't have to take any of the classes that are in the afternoon/early evening. Even if that were the case it wouldn't be the end of the world.
