I haven't seen a thread for this yet and there has been one for just about every semester at MEC, so I decided to make one.
I'm currently studying for the TEAS and I've printed out the Fall 2018 application to work on but there are some very confusing elements (and possibly typos?) on it so I plan on asking on Monday. Since they changed nearly everything from previous years I feel like they made some mistakes (possibly).
Is anyone else a little confused? For instance, they tell you not to get a background check until notified to do so, but the complete checklist on the application they give you instructs you to initial that you've completed the background check.
I'm in the same boat as you. I applied May 7th, I passed 2 sections and needs 3.5% to pass the 3rd sections and all of my prerequisites are A. do you mind if I asked who told you to apply and try your luck?
I have talked to one of the counselors and she told me there is no harm to apply. I applied already but I didn't her back yet.
Good luck @Hnurse25, I hope you get in. The way I see it, since they changed the minimum TEAS passing grade from 58 to 78 this year, they likely will be a little bit forgiving. Fingers crossed for you!
@Rna2739 Its so frustrating because im not a good test taker but I have the grades! Also, I dont remember the guys name unfortunatley! Have you heard if your application has been processed? I only got the email stating they will send it out for further review if I meet all requirements
nothing yet. I got the same email as you. I'm so frustrated I want to find out soon. my life is upside down because of this. what I think they would keep our applications at last.
Hi! I too submitted my application on May 7. I had actually submitted it back in March but they hadn't evaluated my transcript so they tossed my application. I have all A's in the prereqs and my TEAS scores were all 80s+. We will see in about a month or so, I guess.
These guys are just experimenting. They are likely to hit the same problem next year.. So many people will be new to the science portion. Fingers crossed.
