NVC -CP- GC Tracker

Published

I am starting a new thread to track cases from NVC - embassy to GC.

The best news for RN in China, Phillippines and India has been great and informative thread, but I think it is more appropriate and convenient if we start a new thread.

Also with the rapid scheduling of interviews for most of us, I am looking beyond the CP and anticipating the GC!

The August interview schedules are out already in India, and recently in the Philippines and hopefully in China.

Here is my case details

My case was completed January 23, 2006. Mine is not in the list also...

we have forwarded already our visa fee billls to our lawyer however we have not received yet the ds230 (part 1), my question now is : how many weeks upon its payment, NVC will send (part 1) of this barcoded sheet of ds230? tks!

Hi, everyone! Im quite new here. I've been reading your messages for a couple of days now. Well, it seems most of us are in the same dilemma... still waiting for that interview date...I called NVC last night and my case was completed last March 29, 2006. Just want to ask if nvc case completion means that my case has been forwarded to manila us embassy with an assigned visa number?

hi alb0103,

welcome! :-) it has not yet been forwarded to manila yet like the rest of us here waiting for the interview appointment dates.. i guess from the date of completion you still have to wait 3-4months or at the most 6 months for you to have a schedule... they are processing those already approved last december 2005-january 2006.. something like that.. try to read other threads so you'll have more idea about it.. again.. welcome!

You are not back to square one. ;)

Yes it's frustrating to know now that your DS230 forms were not submitted after all. But still this doesn't take out the fact (assuming your forms will be sent soon) that you are just 10-15 business days from case completion and around 8-13 weeks from Manila consular interview (based on average waiting time of posters in this thread). That's roughly 3-4 months and (hopefully) you'll soon have your visa.

That's pretty soon already if you ask me. So, don;t worry much. All the best.

i am boggled by the way an appointment interview is being given to us nurses.. is it based on your case number given by nvc or by the priority date provided by the uscis??

it's me,

Hi peanut!

It's from the time NVC receives the compluted DS 230 forms and other required documents. After around 2 weeks, they will either "declare" your case completed or ask for additional documents (which is rare if you complied strictly to tehir letter) if necessary. Once completed, they will schedule an interview in coordination with the consular office of the applicant which in our case is Manila.

It's not that complicated really once you get used to it and read the pattern in the posts in respectable fora such as this.
