Hi all!
Did you have to pay for Nursys during the license by endorsement process?
I'm a new grad RN, licensed in my home state. I just moved to North Carolina (no RN experience in home state) and have been in the process of getting my new license for two months now. I also applied for a temporary license to be able to work sooner. I still have neither my temporary nor my actual license (background cleared fine).
I just received an email saying I need to pay an extra fee through Nursys for them to be able to verify my original license... Is that the norm? Does it depend on the state? I will have paid for my separate background check as usual, the endorsement fee, and now for Nursys (never used it before)... As a new grad I'm unfamiliar with the process but of course will do what I need to get my license. I really don't recall being directed to go through Nursys while applying for the license or I would have done so as soon as possible, and I just assumed that approving my license is something the state would be able to process.
Thanks for any input!!!

Yes, if your original and/or current state of licensure participate in the NURSYS verification process. If you haven't done so, you should review the NC BON requirements for licensure be endorsement
Best wishes.

Yes, I had to pay for it when I applied by endorsement to a different state. If the actual BON is telling you that you have to pay for it, you have the most accurate and direct answer possible.
