So I want to become a nurse. But didn't get into the program straight at My community college. So I am taking biology insted for the 1st year. I dropped chem 100 and registed for psy 101. I know I needed my chem class too but for me chem and anatomy doesn't go together so I took psy. Am I still able to take my chem 100 if I finish my psy 101 along with other courses by next year. I am going to bergen community college, Paramus, new Jersey.

How many classes do you plan on taking?
Do you know what you requirements are?
Are you working with an advisor that is familiar with the nursing program to plan the best possible schedule for you?
Advisors sucks there.. I'm taking bio 101, English comp.1, intermediate algebra, psy 101.
So can I take chem 100 in next semester in nursing class?

Most nursing courses require Chem 100 as a prerequisite. Therefore, you would not be able to take it simultaneously with a nursing course, nor would you qualify for the nursing course without passing it with at least a C, generally speaking.

If you have the resources to do so, it might benefit you to go to a private school. The pre-reqs are frequently built into the course of study. Plus, you can usually get accepted and start much quicker. I went to an accelerated associates degree program many years ago (the school is now closed, as the hospital affiliate closed down) It was an excellent program, 99% pass rate in the boards in my graduating class. And I've been working ever since. All the best!
