Nursing school stress
Hi everyone, I need your help here! I am in my first semester of a 2 year RN program. I already had 2 tests and I got 75% for the 1st one and a 65% for the 2nd one. 78% is the passing score for the school. After the first test, I went to my advisor and went over my test. I made stupid mistakes, I misread some questions. So for the 2nd test, I did many practice questions and read a chapter which I didn't do for the first one. I had a study group both times. About me, I can't be focused on studying. I feel so sleepy all the time even in class. I'm 20 years old now and I work only 8-16hrs per week, sometimes none. I have lecture 1 day and 4hr clinical 2 days. I do have more than enough time to study as I live with my parents. I feel like I am going to fail this and have to drop out. I really don't want to. Despite my laziness and tiredness, I still manage to drag me to all the study sessions that my group conducts. I don't know how to pass for the upcoming tests. I searched on youtube to see if people have different ideas on how to study. I can memorize things that are on the powerpoint, I can't read or write because that won't help me but make me more sleepy and tired. My mind kept getting diverted. I am not an emotional person, but now after these tests and seeing my parents face, I can't control my emotions. My parents are hoping that I will graduate in 2 years and so they can take rest rather than working almost 40 hours per week with minimum wage. At this point, I have no clue how to move forward. Are there any ideas/ tips you guys can give me? Any websites to do practice fundamentals questions? Any tips to make me concentrate more? Thanks in advance.

Nursing school essay #3
I uploaded an essay before and all were telling me how terrible I wrote my essay. This is a new revised essay, I got assistance of my sister. Please be brutally honest with my essay. Thank you Why I want to be a nurse? In my opinion, nursing is a field where professionals never stop learning. The substantial challenges associated with the profession and the fact that it is highly demanding combine to make it the career that I have always admired. Creating a positive impression in healthcare delivery is my passion. This influenced my decision to become a nurse since the career guarantees the job satisfaction that I have always anticipated. I developed the passion for nursing as a child after facing the obligation to take care of my ailing grandmother. Even though my mother handled most of the responsibilities, she gave me the first-hand experience in taking care of a sick person. The first encounter elicited the desire to take care of sick individuals in the society. The obsession led me to volunteer at a hospital in the nursing department where I gained further experience in the nursing practice. The passion was fueled by the understanding that nurses are one of the professionals that can make a difference in the society. My selflessness and commitment towards improving the lives of other individuals also prompted the additional interest in the nursing profession. I now feel that this is the right time for me to embrace the career fully and lighten the hearts of the sick individuals and their families by bringing them cheer and hope. Nurses carry the burden of the healthcare experience. They are responsible for the way individuals and families are treated in healthcare facilities. Cheering the sick and their families leave a permanent impression that concurs perfectly with my commitment and selflessness in improving the health of individuals. About the reputation of your institution, I believe that I will become the professional nurse that I have always desired.

Nursing school essay #2
Thank you so so much for the reply for the 1st essay @nurseinfo I had finals and work thus took time to revise my essay. I didn't make a lot of difference because i try to be genuine as possible. Please review this revised essay and leave your comments. This is my dream job. I know I have strong potential to become a nurse. Nursing has always been my passion since I was a little girl. I remember when I had to take care of my grandmother when she slipped in her bathroom. Taking responsibility on someone's health is most risky and doing it right requires patience and knowledge. I have patience and now I'm working on my knowledge. People want to have a sense of relief leaving their loved ones in the hospital and I want to be that person that will assure them that their loved one is in great hands. During my experience volunteering at a local hospice I realised that palliative care is a wonderful area to work in, definitely not sad and depressing as many seem to think! I was assigned to volunteer at a ward and it was totally a new experience for me. I encountered with patients who came from different backgrounds and happened to meet their families. I was able to help patients with feeding. They started to talk to me as if I am their family member. Until then I didn't know even a volunteer could make a difference in people's life. That was the time I truly believed that nurses are angels on earth. If I ever become what I dreamed of all these years, I would do only my best to make a difference in people's life.

Nursing school essay
What do you think about my essay for nursing school on "why you want to become a nurse?" . Please comment your suggestions it'll be a great help for me. Thank you so much. Being a Nurse Is More Than a Job, It's a lifetime Treasure and achievement. The advantages of a profession of lifetime learning, headway openings, work adaptability, and aiding those in require. Nursing has always been my passion since I was a little girl. I remember my family and I were informed that my 86-year-old great-grandmother has slipped in the bathroom and cracked her spinal bone. I was really in a big shock when I heard about it because she was always very careful and cautious about everything she did, excluding the fact that she was really old. I was at the time was on my summer vacation after fourth grade. I remember my great-grandmother as abrupt, and physically active. It was now time for someone to take care of her. Knowing that her condition is going to deteriorate, I took initiative to take really good care of her during my summer vacation. Everyday I fed her as directed by my parents, watch her favorite show on television. It gave me the feeling of gracious nurturing that I would want other people to receive if they were sick. Unfortunately, she passed away when I was a week away to go to my fifth grade. I knew I truly touched her heart, because I could see that in her eyes during the days I took care of her. People want to have a sense of relief leaving their loved ones in the hospital and I want to be that person that will assure them that their loved one is in great hands. During my first year in college, I came to know about the volunteering opportunity at a hospital near me. I went to the orientation and started to volunteer there. When I see these people being happy because they had someone to talk to in a room of machines it fulfills my heart. That was the time I truly believed that Nurses are angels on earth. If I ever become what I dreamed of all these years, I would do only my best to make a difference in people's life.

What do you guys think about Chamberlain College of Nursing with their 3 yr bsc without summer vacation? Is that a good school for a low income family student? Is that a good school to get a bachelors degree in nursing?
