Nursing uniforms for military nurses

I have a somewhat dumb, logistical question - if you are a military nurse (any branch really) and you are working, say, in med/surg, do you wear scrubs or do you wear the fatigues? I imagine the OR staff for sure would wear scrubs but what about the floor staff?

Thanks for your response. I was just trying to picture myself as a military nurse and I couldn't imagine what I would be wearing.

Dorky - I know. :)

We currently wear our Army Combat Uniform (ACUs) in my Army ER. Our facility is considering scrubs, though.

I'm a flight nurse, and since we fly, we wear flight suits just like the flight crew. Hope that helps.

I wear my NWUs (Navy working uniform) but the ER, ICU, and OR wards wear scrubs.

Depending on your skipper you may have fancy Friday.

I worked in the ER at MAMC and we wore our PT's to work then changed to scrubs that they issued to us.

WAMC at ft bragg-

Medsurge areas- ACU bottoms and ACU scrub top (given through vending machines)

Critical care areas- Blue scrubs that were given through vending machines

Although some nurses prefer to stay in ACUs for their shift in medsurge and I haven’t seen anyone get in trouble for it yet. Personally I would MELT

Yeah, we do -- especially in the summer and when the AC isn't working well!
