Ok I am a 24 yr old male thinking about nursing. I work in the IT field and hate it. The nite shift is the main turn off . I cant tolerate a night shift position whatsoever.
Im thinking about going for an RN either ADN or BSN. I want to get into education and teach eventually
Well as a male could any of you guys tell me the good and bad of nursing as a male. I woudl like the 'raw' honest opinions.
Nursing would pay more money than I make now. IT Jobs are soooo scarce and I want something thats more people oriented.
So Im either thinkign about education or nursing
Thanks
Hey VetteGuyS'cuse me but were those 'Texans' really Mexicans in rebellion?
And does #1 mean there are more Vettes on the road than Mustangs?
Try counting them.
Papaw John
LOL, I give the 2005 GT Mustang [the modern day Musclecar] a compliment & your still busting my balls. So, I'll try again. A Mustang is not a Sports Car, therefore not in the same category has a Corvette. So, no Corvette being America's #1 Sports Car does not equate to quanity, rather quality as compared to value for the money in the category of all two - seater vehicles = Sport Cars. A GT Mustang is considered a Pony Car, or MuscleCar. :)
So, back to Texas History... First, you posted Texas was started by a bunch of TN boys, yet now your saying Sam Houston's troops at the Battle of San Jacinto were really Mexicans in rebellion.
Why the hate, anyway
Hey DudeNO HATE!!!
Just have been following the thread and thought you were the winner. Hands-down. No contest!!!
And it made me wanna introduce you to a world where we DON'T luv Texas unless Texas is lovely or think every 'Vette going past on the Interstate is SO COOL.
Papaw John
I think at 44 yrs old & 8 yrs active duty USMC, thus living on both east & west coast I'm well aware of plenty of folks that don't appreciate Texas for all its unique flavor.
I do think my Vette is cool, should I not. This is my first Vette. I've always been more of an FBody fan, and owned 5 FBodys thru the years. Here is a Pic of the last one I owned.
I did mention several times that I like the 2005 GT Mustang, right? Which is a helluva compliment to Ford since I'm an FBody Enthusiast with the friendly rivalry with the Stang.
BTW, I did not think any contest existed on any subject manner. We got way off topic considering this Thread is about the good & bad vibes male nurses encounter. Yet, its all good as far as I'm concerned.
LOL, your only 9 yrs older than my oldest son.
yep right in the middle. i have many friends just like this. either i was/am friends with either the son or the dad and end up hanging out with both at different times, wierd. its all good.
ok i have to jump in with my favorite car, hands down its got to be the ford GT. just a turely bad ass car.
the vet is right behind it, i also really like the new look of the stang, have not had a chance to drive it yet but looks awsome.
no dout we got off on topic, just a little. cars, fighting, talking sshhittt thats just what we guys do. got to love it huh. back to the subject ,i think mainly the bad part of working as a male nurse is working with women, the main good part about working as a male nurse is working with women. cant work with them cant work with out them.

BTW, your right... car talk is good male nurse conversation..
My 2001 C5 Coupe [w/perf mods, yet still stock heads] has +480hp @ flywheel. She only cost me $36,600 back in 2002 w/only 8700 odo miles. Plus, Chevy Dealer gave me $21,000 for TA trade.
Have you seen the price of the Ford GT? MSRP - $153,345
Whereas, the C6 Z06 MSRP - $65, 690
Comparison btwn Ford GT, C6 Z06, & Dodge Viper SRT Coupe
*LOL, the 2005 GT Mustang is no way near in the same league.
The Z06 is the most usable of the three. It is also an incredible performance bargain, even faster and cheaper than the Viper. In performance, price, and driving pleasure, it blows the current Porsche 911 Carrera S away, although the 911 has nicer steering, a slicker gearshift, and a much better interior. Blackwell would take the Z06: "If I could afford a car like this, I would want to drive it a lot. It's such a stealth car, you could stay under the radar with it, it's easy to drive day to day, but it's nearly as quick as the GT." Me? I love all three. But for most of us, money is an object. The C6 Z06 is by far the better Sports Car for the money. Therefore, the C6 Z06 is America's #1 Sports Car, IMHO.

lol i read that article. in the artical is also said the ford GT was better to compared to the ferri and Lamborghini. its not as practical, its more like a race car, but we dont buy them for there practibility. if price is the issue i can almost buy two stangs for the price of the vet. just like buying two vets for the price of the GT.
o one thing about the stang. they should not use the top of the line vet vs. mid line stang. why not compare the Z06 to the cobra?

Heck, my '01 Coupe @480bhp [w/OEM Heads] will stand up to any 2005 GT Stang! BTW, why would anyone want two GT Mustangs?
06 Cobra is no match for 06 C6 Z06!
Male RN here in MICU Upstate NY.
Nursing school is the hardest thing I have ever done, including Basic Training in the Army. Washout rates for programs are in the 60% range (my class graduated 45 of the 165 who started). The job is stressful and you are often overworked due to the economics and the lack of RNs relative to the aging population. But the things that make it hard are the things that make it the BEST job there is (thought being a cop was the greatest, but having done both, being an RN is without question the greatest!!)
Bottom line is this, 2005:
People place the lives of themselves and of their families in YOUR hands.
There is no greater honor or responsibility than that!
Good luck with whatever you choose to do.
