Hello!
I am in charge of coming up with fundraiser ideas for our nursing student organization. I came up with quite a few before hitting a road block, so I was wondering if any of you have any ideas, tips, or suggestions.
Thanks!

We raised a lot of money in 2 ways:
1.We asked musicians- singers, bands etc to volunteer to peform around an outdoor gathering place on campus(the reflecting pool). A lot of students ate lunch there in good weather. We then passed the hat and accepted donations. We did this on a regular basis throughout our training so no last minute panic fundraising.
2. We started a tradition of the nursing students masquerade dance at Hallowe'een. We solicited great door and costume prizes and charged admission.Other profits came from a licensed bar(only to students of legal drinking age of course).

we just did a second round with Yankee Candle. 40% profit and we made 1300 with only 5 participating....

My group had the idea to make our own mini first aid kits and sell them to the nursing students/other students on campus. We'll buy in bulk coin purse sized bags and put band aids, alcohol wipes, single dose ASA, travel sized burn cream etc. in them. We're on semester break now but we'll probably give it a try in the fall.

I'd like to hear more about this? Are you talking about some deal with a Yankee Candle store? We just got one.
