I will be starting Nursing school this Fall 2010. Would it help me at all to purchase any study material for NCLEX right now to begin going over as I go through the next two years? If so, what study guides would you suggest. I am going to school in Texas if that makes any difference. Thanks!

Think many have bought Saunders Comprehensive review but I am sure if you did a search you will find some other threads saying what others did

I think saudnder's review might be a good start for you because it breaks the material into cv, renal, peds, psych, etc. so it wil be a good review for your tests. Also with each section it has review material in addition to NCLEX questions as well.

It would be a good idea to buy an NCLEX review book but don't start going over the information now. You haven't been exposed to nursing school and therefore you won't necessarily understand the rationales to the questions and everything else. Practicing NCLEX questions while you take your classes is an excellent way to study for the class and begin prepping for the NCLEX. I suggest buying Saunders or Reviews & Rationales.
