Nursing Specialties - Dream Job

Published

This is not a school assignment. I wish it was, but I am not yet a nursing student.

I have gained so much valuable insider knowledge just by reading everyone's posts and it has been fantastic!

That brings me to my two-part question that I hope you can respond to.

1. With so many possible nursing specialties, what would be your dream job?

2. What steps are you taking to get there?

Again, this is just for fun and to share information with each other. I look forward to reading the responses.

A job with nice patients...

After years of great experiences in lots of areas, most of which I really loved while I did them and could have bee happy to call dream jobs, I have my own company doing consulting as a nurse. I make my own hours (which can be long) and set my own pay scale (but the hours can be irregular), and get to kiss my DH when I walk through the living room from my office on the way to the kitchen. Couldn't be doing this without the backstory, and I thank goodness I am a nurse every dang day.

I kind of don't really care, which is why floating is perfect for me.
