Does anyone have a link or know specifically what sciences we need for the FNP program? I have noticed several people that are taking Biology before admittance into the program. I was just wondering if there is a list somewhere that we can check against our transcript?

I am not sure about a list of required sciences. I had to take it because I never took a college level chemistry or pathophysiology. Also my A&P is over 8 years old and I don't know if that had anything to do with it or not. I would say talk to your admissions advisor, they are super helpful. If there is anything that Simmons thinks is lacking or needed they will let you know. Everyone who has taken the bio course has talked about what a wonderful class it has been and a great way to get acclimated with Simmons' online platform. You can not take the FNP courses until you take and pass the bio bridge course. I am happy to have one class before "the real fun" starts :) It will help me learn how to be a student again after all these years!
Thanks for that info! I just finished applying and I was wondering if I would need another course before the program. Hopefully I won't need it if I'm accepted but I'm glad to hear great things about it.

I am in the May PT cohort, some of my classmates had to take a Bio bridge course for 1 term.. Some just needed to take a refresher CE for Adult & Pediatric Health Assessment and Statistics.
Thanks! Good luck in the program :)

I have to take the bridge biology course too, a bit miffed honestly. But, hey I figure an easy way to get used to the platform before the hard stuff. Of course for me my problem will be coughing up that enrollment fee
Are you taking the bridge course next month? I wondered if it's offered again before the Sept cohort starts.
I don't think I'll be able to take it next month as I can't yet pay the enrollment fee
Do you know when they will offer the bio course again after this months? I was just accepted but will need to take the Bio class first. I am so excited though!! Maybe we can both start the same cohort :)
I'll be taking the bio course in September, just as soon as I pay the enrollment fee. I couldn't come up with it for the May start. And, my employer has done away with assistance for nurses in grad school unless you go to the one they are doing with one of the local colleges
Do you know how long we have to pay the enrollment fee? I just emailed my intent to enroll today so I'm waiting on the enrollment fee email but wanted an idea of the time I have to send that in.

I was told 2 weeks from acceptance, financial aid told me July, but when I spoke to my admissions rep she said that's only for people who wait and apply late.
