If there is such a nursing shortage why does it take WEEKS for recruiters to get in contact with candidates? I am becoming so frustrated I just want to go back to doing what I used to do....
I have been having the hardest time finding a job in Atlanta. I have applied at every hospital in the area with only 2 inteviews... that went great, just didn't like the offers.
If there is a shortage I sure can't tell.
Sick of it all!
To add, I did NOT turn down any offers, just hoping something comes along soon before I loose everything over the next 3 months waiting.
I didn't turn any offers down... as I edited it to make that more clear, I merely stated I didn't like the offers I was given...Why have we moved so far off point? Now it has become my own fault that I can't find a job in the middle of a nursing shortage...
Please lock this thread.. it is becoming redundant.
Thanks for the clarification.

If you can't wait until February then for pete's sake go to a nursing agency and work for one of them until that time rolls around. Or work at something else to get money coming in. I've been jobless for months at a time and just expect that when things get tight. I've relocated twice just to have a better chance at finding work. I didn't want to relocate, I had to. There is no nursing shortage. Your expectations are colliding with reality.
