Anyone know where I can get soft scrubs?

Nurses Uniform/Gear

I really don't know why scrubs are made out of the material they are.....I want some that are made out of t-shirt material or just a really nice soft knit....does anyone know if these exist? If not I may just start a business:lol2:.......I need all white because I'm in that lovely nursing student stage:.

Thank you in advance for any replies!

I believe it was UniformCity that used to have a house line of brushed, soft scrubs that were actually named Soft Scrubs. I loved them. Haven't ordered from them for quite some time and don't see the term Soft Scrubs in their catalog anymore.

IguanaMed and Uniform Advantage's Happy Scrubs are extremely soft and stay that way....I don't know about white, though... try washing whatever you find in a decent fabric softener...

s.c.r.u.b.s. brand @ smartscrubs.com... see my other message, below. Thanks!

:redpinkheAbsolutely the best, softest scrubs I have found are from s.c.r.u.b.s. brand and can be found online at smartscrubs.com. This is only true for the SOLID poly/cotton blend ones, though. They are absolutely the best, and I own Dickies sandwashed, and a lot of others. The other plus is that they have so many pockets if you want them! I have the cargos with SEVEN pockets, one with a snap for those things personal like keys that you don't want to chance losing. The seven pocket top even includes a pocket on the INSIDE of the chest! They're great, soft like jammies! A bit pricey, but they last and last and last, and the colors don't fade. Well worth the bucks in my opinion. I don't carry a purse, just adds more time onto my day putting it away and getting it out when leaving, so this works well for me, and since I work in a PRISON, it's best that I keep my items on me at all times. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Good luck with your shopping! P.S. They fit great, too, come in all sizes, cover your butt, and come in short, med and tall lengths in the pants! They're sooooo comfy I just can't say enough about them! One more thing: The pants have elastic AND drawstring...very versatile. I have three sets in every color that is allowed in the prison. (Total of 4 colors). They run a bit on the larger side, so if you take 2x in dickies, which run small, you can go to a large in their sizes, which just make me feel even better about them! LOL Size chart is also on the website. Would love to hear more about these!:redpinkhe One more thing: the more you wash them, the softer they get! VERY COOL! Not polyestery, mostly cool like cotton... the poly just makes them wash and dry perfectly with no ironing! THE BEST!

You should try this company Studio Scrubs they are all organic and really soft. Mine are made from bamboo and organic cotton.

I am a big fan of the Lydias pro-series scrubs, they are soft and fairly lightweight, also, which I like. They're affordable, too. the website is http://lydiasuniforms.com/

I also thought the Grey's Anatomy scrubs were really soft, but I am a curvy, tall woman and I prefer roomy scrubs anyway, so those didn't fit the way I wanted them to.

The issue of irritating scrub materials has been the bain of my existence since I started nursing school. I have had sensitive skin my whole life. I can't even wear cashmere! The online site http://www.nursesdirect.com has many 100% cotton scrubs. The "So-So-Soft" set is a great option. They also have fleece lab coats and cover-ups if you get cold on the job. I have just purchased a pair of scubs from http://www.gelscrubs.com that I love. They are available with or without college logos. You may want to talk to your school's uniform supply store or propose a uniform change/ alternative to your nursing school. Softer fabrics are not that much expensive. It's unfathomable why schools don't provide higher quality uniforms for students with skin allergies or those who just want to be more comfortable on the job. Hope this helps. Good luck!

i love nu dimension scrubs!

"Grey's Anatomy" Brand! By far the softest I've ever worn! Worth the extra bucks. I feel like I'm in my PJ's!!!

With the Grey's Anatomy scrubs, how about wrinkling? Are they ready out of the dryer?

Yes, the Grey's Anatomy are ready right out of the dryer. they are so soft, they barely wrinkle! Just don't do what I did and leave your notepad in your pocket when you throw them into the washer! haha. Not only did I lose all my notes, but all my scrubs were covered in little white confetti ;) Ah, nothin like first week on the job......:D

The new dickies black label. I just got a pair in the mail and the fabric is so soft you could sleep in them AND they are some kind of special moisture management /wicking fabric.
