Nursing schools where there is no waiting schools

Published

Dear All:

I am trying to get into the Nursing program after finishing my pre-req

classes. Wherever I go, there is a long waiting period to get into these

programs and I am running around to find schools where there is no waiting

list or a very minimal waiting list. I am sure there are many students who

are looking for this information.

Can you help me and students like me to compile a list of schools within

United States (Any states) or Canada where the waiting list does not exist ? I am sure there are many students and faculty who are part of this

allnurses.com forum and we can create such a list.

Thanks a million to everybody !

hi Im currently attending Becker College in Worc, ma and I know there is no waiting list also curry college in Milton ma which is about 20 min from Boston doesn't have a waiting list either

Cox College of Nursing and Health Sciences in Springfield, Missouri. I am in the Accelerated BSN program which takes 16 months. Total tuition is about $21,000 and there isn't a wait list.. Hope this helps!

Specializes in OB, ortho/neuro, home care, office.

I ended up with a $48000 loan (d/t living expenses) so don't know tuition. No wait however to get into St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Lafayette Indiana. Its one of the few diploma schools left in the nation but they have BSN program now. Best part is, you start clinicals in your first semester in fact by week two you are taking basic care of a patient. Basic meaning CNA duties, but still doing patient care nonetheless. I would suggest them to anyone and everyone.

Hey you, are you still around. My name is Carm and I would love to talk to you if possible about the Nursing program Carmen Torres deTiburcio. Thank you

Hi, I was wondering if you applied yet at the U of p.? I am at a lost....and need some advice about were to apply. thanks

carm

The University of Tennessee at Martin has no wait to get in to their BSN program. They don't have a waitlist at all. You have to apply the spring prior to classes start (at the end of August) and if accepted, you start the classes that year. It is a four year program with the first year being your pre-reqs...you don't have to be accepted into the program to take them though. I am starting my 2nd year of the nursing program (which is when you actually start the nursing classes) and you get to start with clinicals the first semester and take care of patients.

discovernursing.com also has a list of schools without wait lists.

Fox Valley Tech College in Appleton, Wisconsin doen't have a waiting list. They have what they call a ready group... for your ADN. You finish your gen eds and then you have a set enrollment date and start the nursing classes. They eliminated the wait list for people what weren't prepaired and their number was called. I was pretty excited when I found that out! Hope that helps!

watts school of nursing in durham, nc. tuition is approximately $6000 a semester. pricey, but worth it

CUSJ in San Juan, Puerto Rico, is another option $85 per credit, they offer the best nursing program on the island, they have a 3 1/2 year bsn program and no waiting list.

Almost all the colleges in WA don't have a waiting list. Most of them accept on GPA/point-based systems. This is BSN AND ADN programs.

Oklahoma City University doesn't have a waiting list. They have a traditional BSN program and a Bachelor's to BSN accelerated program.
