Nursing schools Chicago SW 'burbs

Hello everyone, I'm brand new here so sorry if I posted this in the wrong category. My question is if anybody went or goes to the Chamberlain in Tinley Park,iL? I am currently taking my pre-req's at Moraine Valley and then would like to transfer to either Chamberlain, St. Xaviers or Trinity Christian for my BSN. Any suggestions? I am 30 years old with 2 kids, so I thought Chamberlain would be the better fit, but I haven't heard that many good reviews. Thanks in advance.

It is an expensive, for profit college. You are going to pay a lot of money for it. The thing you need to look at is accreditation and NCLEX pass rates. Also, will places hire you if you attend this college. In my area, they won't hire you if you go to a for profit school because they have bad reputations around here. Accreditation nationally and regionally is the key. Most employers want you to go to a CCNE accredited school. In order to transfer credits should you decide to further your degree down the line, you need a school that is regionally accredited.

You also need to look at cost because those student loans will have to be paid back someday. You don't want to take on more debt than you need to.
