Hey everyone, I've got about 6 months till I retire from the Army and move to Augusta. I'm looking for a school in the augusta area. I currently have a BSHS in Health Management and hold my AMT/MT certification (just means I'm a medical technologist//lab tech:smokin:) don't like the lab or the pay, Can anyone shoot me a couple of lines to help me get started?

Good news! The Medical College of Georgia is in Augusta so there are plenty of opportunities there!

Thank you for serving!

good advise above

also try our student forum and the georgia nurses forum [see tabs a top of page]

I graduated from MCG in 2007 and loved their program. Their's is a BSN. Augusta State is an ADN program - also good. Then just across the river USC Aiken has a BSN program - again another good program. Definitely options for RN schools in Augusta. Good luck!!! Let me know if you have any questions.

I've been trying to see if I should go to a nursing program in Atlanta or Augusta. Even those Augusta has far less RN programs, there are less people applying to those schools.

Anyone tried applying to schools in both cities? Or know the # of applicants for the augusta programs?

I asked this question in the GA forum, but got no answer please don't move the thread.

When I applied to start nursing school in 2005 and I graduate 07 there were 500 applicants for 90 slots at MCG.

Wow 500 for 90! And that's for BSN- the AND must be even worse.
