Hey guys,
I was dismissed from nursing school for cheating
I recently graduated from another nursing school.
Do you think they Will deny my nclex application for this?
I have no criminal record or anything, just a weakness in time a long time ago
There are plenty of nursing students who have cheated one way or another and many of them are practicing today...

First off, what other nursing students did or didnt do doesnt affect you and isnt a basis to justify your cheating. The BON doesnt care about the people who weren't caught and you should focus on yourself as stating what other people have done will never excuse your own actions when caught doing wrong.
With that said, unless your license app specifically asks if you have ever been dismissed from a nursing program for cheating (which I m not aware that it would), then it wont matter. People make mistakes due to lapses in judgement. It doesnt define who you are or who you will become unless you let it. It seems you have moved on from your cheating days (or at least I hope so), so dont bring it up with the BON unless specifically asked.

As the PP has said, it's unlikely you would not be issued a license because of the prior incident. Truthfully answer any questions on the application, and go from there.
But for now, you need to change your User Name for this website, as you are not an RN and therefore cannot use that designation, per the TOS for AllNurses.

'Plenty of nursing students have cheated'...says who?
I'm not trying to play 'holier than thou' (despite the fact that I've never cheated in school and my nursing school grades were a direct reflection of my effort, FYI) but it's one thing to cheat and quite another to attempt to justify it.
"Oh, well - look at them; they did it, too."
Really? When wrong is committed, no board or facility cares about what 'everyone else'. Just you.
Anyway, the board's not going to deny you. I mean, I doubt that they would. That school just bounced you from the program. It's not like they sent your info to the BON, like, "Don't let her test, ever!" LOL
How would the BON even know what you've done in the past -- unless you just outed yourself for god knows whatever reason. LOL
You made a mistake; you're repentant. You've been punished. You've never done it again.
The point is - you learned your lesson.
So...you, volunteering info to the BON about your embarrassing cheating ordeal that had you booted from a nursing program? That's just stupid.... LOL
Just send in the app, take the test and go on about your business.
