nursing school while in the army??

i have a friend that wants to attend nursing while in the army? does the army have their own schools that they train nurses? how does it work? also , if you join the army as a nurse with a degree do you become a officer or do you still have to attend OCS ( officers canadate school). ? thank you all in advance,

I did speak with an Army nurse recruiter and he advised me to do the ANCP, because it's a guaranteed active duty slot, he was leaning towards the student loan program, but when I asked him if he could guarantee it, he said there is no way he could since it's 2 and a half years away, thanks for your reply.

Well, at least he was being honest with you and didn't try to get you to sign on the dotted line now for something that might not be what you want in the long run. Hopefully you can get what you want when the time comes. Good luck.
