I was wondering if there is anyone who knows of an Associate Degree Program in Nursing that takes less than 2 years to complete. Also, does anyone know of a Bachelor Degree program that can be completed in a year. I am not an RN licensed and do not have any nursing experience. I have a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry.

Hello,
Most if not all ADN programs are at least two years. After getting an ADN in nursing you can do what is called an accelearated BSN program and that in about a year, depending on how many units are being taken. Where do you live? Have you checked into any of the programs that interest you?

A paramedic who flew with my employer completed the Excelsior program in just a few months. He completed his BSN in record time as well. Not sure of the Excelsior pre-requirements, but it is something to consider.

Might want to check out the Excelsior thread currently running on the Distance Learning Forum regarding limitations (both getting into the program and options for licensing and work once graduated). I'd approach with caution.
Since you have a Bachelor's degree already, you are likely eligible to enroll in an accelerated BSN program. These can be completed in one year, but not always. More importantly, you'd need to check out the pre-reqs and admission criteria for a foreign student; I'd suggest going to the International Student board on this website.

If you have a bachelors degree you can apply for an accel. bachelors program, usually 18 months. however, there still are probably some pre-reqs you would need to finish first.
