Nursing pre-reqs online? Is it a good idea?

Published

Hi everyone!

Im hoping to complete Fon241 and Bio 201 in the same semester and for this plan to work out I would need to take Fon 241 online. I was wandering how rigorous the course is and whether taking it online in combination with Bio201 is a good idea! I would really appreciate hearing about the experiences you all had with these courses!

Also, if you can let me know how psy230 is online I would also appreciate it!Thanks!:)

Did I miss something? OP never said what FON241 is? what kind of class? so I can't give correct advice...sorry

I'm not the OP but at my school it's principles of human nutrition

I took almost all of my pre-reqs online, and I loved it. Personally, I had a problem with actually waking up and going to class (I'm a night owl) so I found it sooooo convenient being able to do homework late after work. But you definitely do have to be responsible to actually do the work and teach yourself. I feel like I just did the bare minimum and probably didn't learn as much as I would have in a classroom setting, but I got great grades. I also feel like the professors do the bare minimum as well. You don't get as much feedback, but you can always go to their office hours to speak with them if you need to.

I took most of my pre-reqs online. I thought it was wonderful because I was able to work a lot (which helps because I am having to cut down in the fall when nursing classes start). I only recommend that your take Anatomy and Physio in class because these are very important classes, and I wish I would have taken them in person.

I'm looking to take Nutrition and Human Development online this fall.

As a single mom, I would have to scramble to pay my babysitter each time I have a class, which just isn't feasible financially! (much cheaper to let him watch his beloved Wiggles! ).

And as an aside, I graduated college originally over 10 years ago, and even the opportunity to take all my pre-reqs online is awesome!

I took A&P online, I won't lie, it was hard. I did manage to get an "A". You just can't procrastinate. Set aside a time every day to spend a few hours and you should do fine.

I took A&P online, it was tough but if you are dedicated, you will be fine. Just set aside time each day and stick with it...
