Is anyone able to help me with Med dosing?!

The question is: A 15 lb 4 oz child with a UTI from Ecoli is ordered Furadantin Suspension PO qid. The recommended dose is 5mg/kg/ day and is available as 6mg/mL. What should you administer per dose?

When I do the problem I get 1.93 mL but according to my sheet the answer should be 1.44mL/dose

I get the answer your sheet gets. Show us the steps you are taking then we can see where you are going wrong.

Are you dividing the total daily dose into 3 or 4 individual doses?

The answer is 1.44 mL. 1.93 mL would be if you divided the daily dose by 3. QID is four times/day.
