Nursing Overseas

Published

Hello, my name is Megan and I have been an RN for two years now. I'm happy in my career but lately I have been considering pursuing a career overseas. I speak English, Spanish, and Japanese so there are multiple locations in which I could apply for a position. However I have many questions related to this; With whom should I speak regarding a position? How would I get this job? Would I have to take any other courses to be eligible for an overseas career?

If anybody could answer these questions for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

I would think that all of your questions are way too general as they are about multiple languages & countries. It's almost as if you're asking about how to work "anywhere on Earth."

After you narrow down a country/city you want to research, you can google all of your questions for that particular country, city & facility.

Working in another country will require a license for that country and a work visa. EU countries are very difficult to get visas for if you are coming from a non EU country

You will have to think more about which country you wish to live and work in. Moving countries isn't cheap.... Been there and done it.... You have both nurse registration as well as immigration requirements to look into and then once you get into the country you have to think of other things like cost of living, establishing self as most than likely will not have any credit history
