I've been nurse for a year, in the operating room. I do like my job, but I don't think it's where I am supposed to end up. I'm not that interested in floor nursing. I am looking for other options to look into, outside of hospital nursing, where I will still have patient contact and not behind a computer or on a phone for my entire shift. ANY AND ALL suggestions are appreciated!

Not behind computer/phone entire shift and not a floor nurse: Hospice/home health, infusion nurse and/or PICC nurse, medical device/pharmaceutical sales rep, SANE, infection control nurse (still usually hospital, but not floor nursing), private duty nursing, healthcare educator (often also hospital, but.. not floor), nurse practitioner (some), PACU-type job in surgical center that is not part of a hospital, wound care nurse (for a company that visits LTCs / home health and/or has a clinic).
