Nursing school is like boot camp. If you want to be a knowledgeable nurse you need to spend an enormous time studying. I felt that for me that was a good sacrifice.
I have found nursing to be very rewarding both personally and financially. Right now is a bad time due to the economy but we all hope that will change.
Go for your bachelors if you have the time and money.
I wish I had done it a long time ago.

I sum it up like this. Nursing school is hard (at least for most). When you graduate you will feel inadequate for a while. Once you realize that there is always going to be something you ask about and that you are only one person it can get better (or at least for me).
I love it. It is hard and physically demanding but it fits my personality perfectly.
If you feel like it is for you, do it. Expect negativity from peers but do not let it get you down. It can be great if you let it. But it is up to you.
Not sure if I gave much advice or tips. Everyone experience is different.
I hope you can find nursing/nursing school positive even in the most stressful of situations. (That is what helped me get through everything)
well i am sure that nursing is what i want to do. and i also know that it is not going to be easy but any advice on specialties and and what the quality of life is like (pertaining to how much money a new grad makes)
I have no idea what a new grad makes but with 6 years exp I made 80,000 last year. Lot's of overtime, but I love what I do
And the hubby is laid off

Don't skip class and take good notes.
