To all of you who have completed the CPNE:

Which workshops/conferences for the CPNE through EC did you do if any and where they helpful to you?? I am finished with NC #7 at the end of the month(!!!) and I am trying to figure out how much I am going to spend for the CPNE.

Thanks for the info!

Melissa

I am still waiting on a CPNE date. Feedback on the yahoo group site indicates that at least four of the people who attended the workshop of west coast Tina, along with me, have already passed the CPNE. Persons in the workshop who had attended other workshops, stated they were pleased with this workshop. I feel I got the basics that I need and it is up to me to be able to get through the CPNE successfully. I would recommend west coast Tina's workshop to anyone.

I did the NE CPNE workshop two weeks before my CPNE, and it rocked -- http://www.necpneworkshop.com -- fabulous! Small class size, loooong days with lots of learning and practice.

Also, since you're in Indiana, you might check into Chancellor's CPNE prep workshop. I think it's something like 5 days long. I know a few people who took it, and loved it! http://www.chancellorsonline.com/asn/clinical_prep.html

Depends on your experience. If you are a bedside LPN, you have the basics already for labs, pt care. East Coast Tina rocks. She has a really good yahoo group care plan and documentation course, she knows her stuff. Lunah gave you her address above. If you can get to her workshop, do it. necpneworkshop.com.

I only used Rob's DVD and passed in Mansfield May 29-31 2009. His DVD is the best around and it's only $40.00

Specializes in Cardiac Care, Palliative Care.

I bought both his videos and hope to pass using those instead of going to a workshop, even though I've heard there was some mistakes on his dvds. Since I've been reading some of the CPNE guide, I've caught some of the mistakes, but I'm glad to hear another person passing the CPNE without attending a workshop!

Why spend more money than you have to? Good Luck and God Bless
