I kind of laughed at the EC DVD because it's suppose to be from the EXPERTS. There are a few errors in Rob's DVD but with the info that he emails you, he corrects them. The errors I think were related to the camera angle, ie taking a BP in the same arm as the IV and not supporting the one arm with PROM. Overall though I pretty much followed his direction and passed. Don't ever want to do that again

I reviewed the EC book (actually a CD now). I did look at the EC DVD once or twice. But I focused on Rob's DVD and his mnemonics, care plans and rationale along with his sample charting. I understand he now has a DVD for sim labs. I passed with no PCS repeats thanks to Rob's DVD and paperwork. There was one other person during my weekend that also used Rob's stuff and she too passed with no repeats. If you have any other questions, let me know. Good Luck with the CPNE!!!!

Before you spend money on a careplan class, check out Robs info. I haven't done care plans in over 10 years and was able to utilize what Rob has for all of my PCS including my second PCS that I had to change my care plan. I had originally done Acute Pain r/t diverticulitis and could not elicit a pain level other than 2. So I had to think (during my implementation phase) what else I could use. Well lo and behold, the patient got SOB with the respiratory assessment, there is my ND - Activity Intolerance r/t imbalance between oxygen supply and demand AEB patient complaing of dizziness and shortness of breath. If you know the basic ND - Acute Pain, Activity Intolerance, Impaired Physical Mobility and Ineffective Airway Clearance and throw in Risk for Injury you will be set for about 75% of the patients. Thank you. I only bought to DVD for the AOC's didn't know he had a lab DVD until today. I study 10-12 hours a week up until May 1 then I pumped it up to 20-30 hours a week all the while trying to balance a full time job, a husband and a 4 year old daughter. I took the DVD with me to Mansfield and had it play continously. I was never without my flashcards. I used clear contact paper to cover them. I used them at the pool while my daughter was in swim lessons, at the Tball and soccer field. I kept them with me always. in the car, the bathroom in line at the bank or grocery store. If you set your own deadlines and stick to them. EC is doable. I started with my first test 2-19-08 and finished 9-9-08 prereq and NC1-7 sent in my $1900.00 in Sept of 2008. Waited, waited, waited to hear a date for my CPNE On 2-20-09 received my CPNE date 5-29 thru 5-31-09 Just passed - I'm still in shock. It is difficult. I work fulltime, have a husband and a 4 year old and we are remodeling our home. Get a calendar and make deadlines - stick to them and you too can get through this program!!

I only used Rob's DVD and passed in Mansfield May 29-31 2009. His DVD is the best around and it's only $40.00

I honestly believe if you use Rob's DVDs you will succeed just like I did.

If you use Rob's DVD you will pass. I just passed in Mansfield this past weekend. Follow everything he says and you will be a GN. Good Luck
