Chancellors Question...

I know someone who claims that she doesn't buy textbooks and just studies the chancellors studyguides and passes her tests (including Micro) with A's and B's. Did any of you that are using Chancellors find this is so with you OR are you using texts along with the studyguides???

I've used Chancellor's for everything except A&P, and I got one B and 6 A's. :) They do cover the study material fairly well, but I always checked my knowledge against the exam study guide, then read from textbooks in areas I didn't feel were covered, or areas that weren't covered adequately. So I didn't use ONLY the Chancellor's guides, but they were my primary/initial study resource.

I used Chancellor's for all of my tests and have gotten all A's and B's. I also bought the recommended texts for all of the classes. I bought all of the textbooks used from ebay, half.com, and ecampus.com for a fraction of the price of new textbooks. I would recommend Chancellor's but I would also get the recommend texts.

Thanks for the info.

I never understood paying for a Chancellors guide and STILL paying for textbooks. I got the College Network guides for cheap (50 bucks each) on Ebay and they are awesome. Whatever i got on their practice exam in the back is what i got on the test. I love them but would NEVER pay full price for them. School is costly enough.

I agree. Get the guides on ebay instead of buying them from the company. They are so expensive!!

I bought my Chancellor's guides on eBay -- I think I paid about $300 for all seven (not in one auction, but you know what I mean). Truly a bargain. :) I wanted Chancellor's guides for the audio because I have an hour drive to work, so I studied while I drove. TCN guides seem good, but were lacking the audio.

Smart move on your part. I am a flash card queen so the guides and that 15 dollar Ebay disc did it for me. I plan to pass NC 5 this time so that I can register for the CPNE. Its my last test so Im anxious to be rid of it. Study hard and keep posting !!

Good luck on NC5!! When are you testing?

My very last EC exam is 11/19 -- Microbiology. :D I'm doing CLEP for my very last two -- Human Growth and Development and Intro to Sociology. Can't believe I'm almost done!! Except for the CPNE, of course. LOL

I'll be completely honest and admit that I am stalling. A part of me feels like I will never be ready because of the prior failures. My confidence is shaken which is weird because I have always been an excellent tester. Just praying for a little courage.

Ugh, that sucks. :( Which part of the exam is giving you the most trouble?

The psych disorders, meds and side effects. It just seems to be such a large detailed amount of info on one test along with all of the endocrine disorders.
