You can request trial issues of the journals here...at no cost...I've gotten at least 3 different ones. I have subscribed to Nursing 2004 and I really like it.

There you go............
Hey thanks Skislalom
I just had a look at the Web site and it looks great, I think my husband will have to hide the credit cards, there are so much to choose from.

emmy, while the anatomy is similar, the systems, techniques, and drug names are different in the US. Try this Australian link for some oz journal titles.

Thank you for the link Donmurray.
Emmy Have you tryed the uni website they have them there to.
Thanks eirthjona, no I haven't tried the uni website but I shall. I've ordered a couple of journals from the American website as they looked really interesting and they are really reasonably priced, you can forget subscribing to any UK journal as they are really expensive to get shipped over.
I've noticed on one of your previous posts that you, like me, want to do midwifery afterwards, in that case you should definately read Baby Catcher by Penny Vincent, your Uni will probably have it. Also there's a really great midwifery forum http://www.studentmidwives.co.uk that you may like to visit.
Thanks EMMY
Alot of my midwifery comes from 4 kids 1st perfect text book kid 2nd 9 week permmie at flinders, you neck of the woods (should try there for midwifery great bunch) 3rd panic about another prem but he was over baked D&C after due to breacking of placenter 4th smooth untill end when I said that she was overbaking was geled 10 min second stage and emergance rush up to OP for a physical removel of plecenter.
Fun :)
will look at the site.
Wow, how long did your two premature babies stay in hospital and how old are they?
I have three so you beat me by one, they are 12,10 and 6. It was after having my first child that I wanted to be a midwife although I have tried many times to talk myself out of it, I even studied criminology to get my mind off of it. I was really worried about how I would cope with the still births and the fact that you often work unsocial hours but I couldn't stop thinking about it so I thought what the hey and decided to follow my dream.
Good luck studying with four kids in the house, you'll get used to tuning out the noise :chuckle
