Nursing home staff are overwhelmed and working under largely unsafe conditions on a normal day.. with the added stress of Covid; and with the likelihood that the CNAs and nurses are probably sick too.. it's no wonder there is nobody left to care for the residents.

It will probably be a cold day in Hades before any of them get a healthcare job in that area. They probably will have trouble getting hired anywhere. Blacklisting can have effects that surpass the transgression.

I think it's important to know a little more as to why 13 employees didn't show up. Some may have been showing symptoms themselves? The home was probably already dangerously understaffed to begin with.
