Hi guys! I'm currently taking my prerequisites for nursing I have recently been charged with a misdemeanor in domestic violence case. (I was wrongfully charged) I was in a toxic relationship, and I have called the police on them before, and they were charged with domestic violence for trying to stab me .. And I decided to go back to them and we got into a fight which they hit me first and I retaliated basically self-defense but because I had nowhere else to go no phone and a hour away the police decided to arrest me because it wasn't my home..  I was wrongfully charged I did not start the fight but I don't have money for a lawyer I'm planning on accepting a please deal which can be expunged of my record after 2 years .... I plan to in the future to hire a lawyer to revisit the case to get it dismissed because I have messages from the person apologizing for starting the fight and lying to the police .. my question is has any nurse had a expunged domestic viloence case and was able to get a job as a RN

What state are you in? Get a lawyer you will need a good lawyer too.

If you were wrongfully charged don't accept the plea, then you are technically pleading guilty. Most states have domestic assault as a barrier crime... or you have to wait 5 years with no re-occurrence
