Check with the BoN and consult an attorney.
LA:DENIAL OR DELAY OF LICENSURE
BON stated they cannot answer with a simple yes or no. they handle each case on an individual basis. i would have to get approval from an approved nursing school first. Once the nursing schools approves me, then i would have to get approval from them. i would have to submit an application ( i can only get it from the nursing schools that approves me) and BON would let me know.
I wouldn't want to waste my time in school then get turned down.]

Hi, there. Welcome to Allnurses.com!
Your thread has been moved to the Nursing Licensure with a Criminal History forum, which is filled with posts made by other nurses and nursing students in your situation. Good luck to you.

Any expunged issue is essentially a non-issue. You do not have to declare this as an arrest or otherwise on application. It no longer exists. Discrimination (if they could somehow find the information) would technically be illegal. I have a case that was ruled "not guilty" and then expunged. I never mentioned it and it has never been an issue.

I don't really have any experience with this but I thought that if your charges were expunged, they are erased off your record and will not show up on a background check?
Won't be an issue. Expunged it gone from background checks.
You do have to disclose expunged records to the nursing board
