It is usually the case that different circumstances can be found in different areas. I found that true when I relocated from one area in my state to another. I got tired of being unemployed, so I moved. Found employment right away, but had to sacrifice higher pay and a desirable environment just to have a job.

Hi ..All..I moved from NY 7 months ago and relocted to NC. I was unhappy there with all the jobs I had gotten, I started at duke and was given a tracking device and my preceptor gave me hell so i resigned. I made 20 per hr.
i got another position at a nursing home and was treated better but the benefits were horrible ...i was still unhappy and left did not want to work for 5 days a week on my feet with 30 pts.
i took a job at a LTAC facility and thought ..this is great i finally found the job i want.. 3 days a week 23per hr 12 hr shifts it started off fine until after week 2 i noticed nurses were being fired every week..starting out from 30 nurses minus 1or 2 or more were being fired weekly for minor infarctions such as coming in late or missing a mandatory class that could be rescheduled...iwatched weekly until 5 nurses were left....so I packed my stuff and decided to move back to NY now...i heard they were down to 2 nurses and the facility was hiring travel nurses..i have never seen such injustice and nurses being fired every week the whole situation tramatized me
..now i am trying to get my old job back where i was stable and made 34 per hr ..12 hr shift 3 days
North carolina has no union for nurses no one to defend us...i got a wake up call that nursing is not the same in every state
