I think the previous posts have done a great job with their inputs. Just a suggestion... be careful with what you post on the internet nowadays. I generally like to be anonymous when I post things (such as making a generic school title & hospital rotations rather than posting that you went to a particular school). I am saying this because people who have gone to SBU can possibly figure out who you are. If you don't mind then that is okay too! :)

overall, you resume looks great. You seem very active during your college years and you are very smart. I agree you can leave out the gpa because it's a given that you're smart if you have honors listed.

I'm curious, I see that the OP has received advice to keep her resume to one page. How on earth is that possible with a 20 year work history (obviously the OP doesn't have this, just asking a resume question)? Even only showing relevant highlights.....it's easy to hit two pages.

CuriousMe, I've always been told that resumes shouldn't date back longer than 10 years so I guess that's how you could keep it to a 1 page minimum. The reason I've been told to keep it to one page is because perhaps the prospective employer may see too much to read, become overwhelmed by too much info, skim it, then toss it because they can't be bothered. *shrugs* I dunno really. There is so many different correct ways to do a resume.

And Carebears is right, any of your classmates or someone who knows you could easily figure out who you are!! I don't think it was a wise thing to put your resume up here like that. If you wanted help for your resume, then maybe you could've said 'Is anyone here willing to give me some feedback on my resume? Could you private msg me with your email?"

Anyhoo, everyone here gave good advice, try to pick out the best ones you feel works for you and Gooooood luck!!

Thanks for your feedback LaynaER, I've heard the 10 year thing as well and do that. But with academics/research opportunities, honors, and work experience (even cherry picking from the last ten years only.....it's tough.

That's where you ignore the 10 year rule and rather than focus on what you have done during your "employment history" create another section called "accomplishments" and rewrite and list them there instead.

"Achievement and/or Accomplishments" never have any particular time limit associated with them.

Employers want to know what you have done. It's not really important when they were done. You have conducted academic research and other specific "achievements" or you didn't right?

These experiences are quite valid regardless when they occurred, so make them count! It's "how" you "showcase" your skills that matters.

My Best. :)
